Smarter Parenting… Safer Children (2) Workshop

AED1400Mrs. Lama Younis and Dr. Anastasia Kamanos invite you to an experiential and motivational workshop aimed at learning about the important roles that families and communities play in working together to prevent child abuse. As partners in prevention, we are collectively responsible for keeping our children safe from abuse that can impact a child throughout their lifetime. This workshop is designed to give parents and caretakers critical tools and information they need to help keep our children and youth safe.
Who is this for:
This workshop is intended for parents, care-givers, educators and students interested in building a child safe culture. Educational handouts for parents/educators and worksheets for children will be provided as learning resources at the workshop.
You will learn:
We will propose developmentally appropriate guidelines aimed at learning how and when to give children accurate information on difficult or sensitive issues in a way that they can understand. Child Empowerment: Educating children about privacy, personal body-safety rules, and the choices they have in demonstrations of affection. E-Safety – Simple rules for ensuring safer homes for children. Educating children about stranger safety.
