Children Life Skills Development

With so much exposure and stimulation for our children in today’s high-tech world, it’s all too easy for them to miss out on practical life skills, whether it’s running a load of wash, reading a map, or handwriting a letter.

We find that though life tasks have become easier and more facilitated with technology, parents tend to do everything for their children instead of leaving them to figure out how to fend for themselves. Helping to prepare your child for life with some basic skills will make them a more independent and productive adult.

At Hissah Enrichment Center, we offer a unique and promising service especially for children. Our life skills, hands-on training help children 12 and under, to attain their personal best through the development of a broad range of personal, social and cognitive skills. Kids are, by nature, curious and interested to learn so it is the best time to introduce them to a variety of life skills in a way that is fun and exciting. These lessons learned will never be forgotten as they become ingrained if they are continually practiced. The enhancement of such skills early on in life leads the way to a productive and meaningful adult life.

Every single child will benefit from this training as it will make them more confident and independent. When a child learns to take responsibility of getting dressed independently, doing the dishes, cleaning up, eating on their own, making their bed, preparing a snack, and doing the laundry it is a source of pride and ease for the parent. Introducing these practical life skills into the daily life of our children will reap many short-term benefits such as better settled, more responsible kids as well as long-term benefits such as a more efficient and fruitful adulthood.
