Tell me a bit about yourself. What do you want the world to know about YOU?

I am an integrative pharmacist in New York City. My wife and I own two pharmacies on the upper east side that focus on finding the right balance between alternative- holistic medicine and conventional medicine. I guess I would want the world to know that every single day is a journey for me to help people strategize the best path to wellness for them and their loved ones.

Describe a typical day in your life.

I get up around 5 AM and start to answer all my emails. Around 6:30 I make my daughter breakfast, then we drive into Manhattan and I get to work by 8:30am. At work, I realize how blessed and lucky I am to be able to contribute to the people around me in a positive manner whether that be suggesting the right prenatal vitamin or helping a patient navigate the different drug interactions or nutrient depletions that their current medications might be causing on their body.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced during your journey to where you are today?

My biggest challenge was getting over the fear that I would not succeed. I often deal with self-doubt and try to overcome those feelings. I’ve been so lucky to have two important mentors in my life that taught me that as long as I’m coming from a good place of love and contribution, then I will always continue to progress in a positive manner.

Who would you describe as a role model and why?

My role model is also my mentor who sadly passed away five years ago. He was my father-in-law and his name was Rom Kaminsky. He told me that one of the best ways to enrich yourself is to always put your family first and then all the love and monetary gain comes back to you because you’re contributing from the right place.

Tell us one thing about you that most people don’t know.

In my free time, if I ever have any, I love to lay in bed with my two kids and catch up on superhero movies or Lord of the Rings!

What is one piece of advice about how to cope with challenges/struggles you face in life that you would like to give to the world?

When you’re thinking negative thoughts, or having thoughts of self-doubt, try to break the pattern and bring yourself back to a happy moment in your life or moment when you have been able to achieve something no matter how small or large -Stay in that moment and bring it forward with you to help you achieve whatever obstacle is in front of you at the time. This is basically a way to guard your mind from negative thoughts.

What is ONE word that you feel defines you? (It could be your profession, a personality trait, or a quality you possess).
